Aircraft Maintenance Engineering

Aptech Academy, in association with Academy of Carver Aviation, offers 3-year courses in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.

The courses are approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India, and train students in the Mechanical & Avionics Engineering.

Course highlights

Training course enables an individual to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, and the student is BAMEL certified.

After successfully passing the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) license examination, the student obtains an AME license in the relevant categories which he/ she has opted for - viz. Airframe (Category 'A') , Engine (Category 'C') and Avionics (E, I, R) issued by the DGCA.

Please note: Students are required to pass the semester exams conducted by the Institute before being eligible to appear for the Basic License Examination.


  • 10+2 with minimum 50% marks (aggregate) in Physics & Mathematics OR Three-year AICTE-approved Diploma in Engineering OR Higher qualification in science with Physics & Mathematics.
  • Student should be between 16 and 24 years of age at the beginning of the course.

Course structure

  • The 3-year AME training program is divided into 6 semesters constituting both, theoretical & practical training.
  • The course is planned in a systematic manner following the norms & standards accepted by the regulatory authority, DGCA and the aviation industry.

About Carver Aviation

Established in 1995, Carver is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. The Academy offers courses in pilot training, aircraft maintenance engineering and also runs an instructor’s school at Baramati in Maharashtra, with another Academy at Karad Airport in Maharashtra.

The training integrates Private Pilot’s License, Commercial Pilot’s License and Instrument Rating and covers all theory & practical elements.

Carver Academy also has its own control tower which comprises weather monitoring equipment with its own designated frequency.
